Job Duties
We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to join the DarTwin project at the University of Antwerp. The successful candidate will:
- Conduct autonomous research within the framework of the DarTwin project
- Participate in joint research projects focused on Digital Twins, model-driven engineering, simulation, and data-driven modelling
- Collaborate with international partners at JKU Linz
- Publish and present scientific results in journals and at international conferences
- Supervise Bachelor’s and Master’s theses (if applicable)
- Develop software tools, simulation workflows, and modelling methods relevant to Digital Twins
Qualifications
- Required: Doctorate/Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computational Modelling, or a closely related field
- Strong background in model-driven engineering, digital twins, software modelling, simulation, or data-driven methods
- Experience with software development (Python, Java, or similar), modelling languages (e.g., SysML/UML) or simulation tools is highly desirable
- Excellent command of English (spoken and written)
- Ability to work independently and as part of an international team
- Strong publication record or demonstrable software/tool contributions
